Even though the majority of coffee picking jobs are held by women a much lower percentage of women have ownership or management positions within the coffee industry.
Café Feminino works with women coffee producers to ensure the money is going to women producers in the community. As the women strive to build not only their families but their communities as well.
For example the women from the Mexican Cooperative that our single origin Mexican coffee comes from have decided to use a portion of their income to build a library for the community rather then on personal consumables.
